Home is where my hearts are...

Home is wherever you are, love.
Deep within, where your heart lies.
Where your smile greets me warmly,
Where your voice rumbles, quietly; lovingly,
As you hold me close, dear.
Home is loud, scattered, messy, full.
Full of boys, love and warmth.
Home chronicles where we have been.
Home holds everything dear to us.
Home is where we belong, together.

Always, forever. You. Me. Us. We.

Where is home?  What makes you feel at home?

  1. Scattered, messy full! I like that.
Embracing it just makes it comfortable.

  3. "Home chronicles where we have been."
It really does: the photos, the souvenieurs, the old furniture, the wear and tear, the memories, the remember-when-stains in the carpet, the growth chart notches in the back hall woodwork. Great line.

  7. How funny...you too touched on the mess within the love...I'm glad I didn't read it before I wrote mine...at least I know now that a) there is further proof of our similarities and b) I was not swayed by your post...which, by the way, is REALLY REALLY beautiful. LOVE it. One of my favorites, actually.
