Red light: gather your thoughts, prepare.
Yellow light: a pause to breathe.
Green light: go forth, obstacle free.
Set your compass, plan your way,
map in hand, dreams unfolding; everyday.
When you know it's a go,
put your best foot forward, ready.
Let yourself be, challenged, marvelously, uniquely.
Let yourself be, always ready, willing.
Do not wait. Ready? Set. Go!

Those are my favorite lines.

Love this! the words even LOOK a little like a traffic light! :) These words of advice and encouragement are perfect for anyone as they begin something new....even if it's only a new day!
Stopping by from Six Word Friday
As a mom who is constantly reminded by her boys what colour the light is when she's driving "Mom it's red!" this struck a chord with me. I feel sometimes all I do is go, stop, start, stop, go, when all I want to do is GO!
ReplyDeletepreparation: so key to relaxed parenting.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part:
ReplyDelete"Set your compass, plan your way,
map in hand, dreams unfolding; everyday"
but its all very inspiring! Excellent way to start the weekend.
Let yourself be, challenged, marvelously, uniquely.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
Sometimes letting go is the only way to fully prepare yourself to go - explore, experience, embrace what life offers.
ReplyDeleteThe traffic light imagery reminds me of a game I played as a kid and now plaay with my kids. It gives me an energy I didn't have just a few minutes ago. Cheers!
ReplyDeletedivine message, well done.
ReplyDeletePlanning, but leaving room for improvisation
ReplyDeleteAnd then: get ready to go!
